Dear Residents Here is Bournemouth North’s roundup of what has been happening this week from the team. Three intelligence submissions relating to community concerns and suspicious activity. Information gathered during patrols has contributed to ongoing investigations helping to build a wider intelligence picture across the area.Worked closely with partner agencies and support services to safeguard a vulnerable female, ensuring that relevant information was shared appropriately and any concerns were addressed promptly. Conducted enquiries and an area search to assist in locating a missing vulnerable 15-year-old. The individual was located safe and well enabling them to be returned to a place of safety.Facilitated a Community Resolution in relation to a neighbour dispute, providing an opportunity for those involved to address the issues and reach an agreed outcome without the need for formal prosecution.Issued a Community Protection Warning to a male in response to reported behaviour which was having a detrimental impact on the local community. The warning outlined the concerns raised and provided clear guidance regarding expected conduct with the aim of preventing further incidents and promoting community safety.Carried out three cuckooing checks at addresses identified as potentially being used to exploit vulnerable individuals. These visits helped to assess the welfare of occupants, identify any safeguarding concerns and gather information to support ongoing efforts to disrupt exploitation and protect those at risk.Took positive action to safeguard a 14-year-old following concerns raised regarding their welfare and vulnerability. Appropriate enquiries were completed, relevant agencies were engaged where necessary, and measures were put in place to ensure the young person's safety and ongoing support needs were identified and addressed.Conducted regular foot patrols at identified hotspot areas to provide a visible policing presence, deter criminal and anti-social behaviour and offer reassurance to members of the public. Engaged with residents, businesses, and partner agencies to gather community intelligence, address concerns and support ongoing problem-solving initiatives within the area.Attended and carried out initial enquiries relating to a road traffic collision and the reported theft of a vehicle - currently under investigation.Conducted a stop search on an individual in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures due to suspected drug-related activity.We urge members of the public to continue reporting incidents to us – if we don’t know about it, we can’t tackle it.
